Psychotherapy at Home

I offer remote therapy via telephone, Whatsapp, Zoom, Facetime and Skype.
Enjoy the convenience and added privacy of a highly personalised Psychotherapy and Counselling service in the comfort of your own home.

Psychotherapy at Home provides remote psychotherapy and counselling for people with a range of needs and preferences. These have always included those who lead busy lives and are unable to take time out for themselves, those who may be housebound, due to physical or medical issues, those with children, the elderly, or simply anyone preferring therapy in the comfort and security of their own home.
However, more recently, people are responding to the risk that Covid 19 presents. As well as therapy at home being more comfortable and convenient it is now a much safer option.
Psychotherapy at Home is a popular and effective approach to therapy. The treatments I offer include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy and Counselling. Each therapy provides a unique approach with proven benefits. Psychotherapy at Home brings these benefits into the security of your own home, maximising the effectiveness of each intervention.

“There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort”

Psychotherapy at Home maximises the benefits of clinical intervention allowing you to develop your well-being confidently and comfortably. It is designed to fit into lives rather than require time away from them. Its effectiveness is clearly documented and its popularity continues to grow. Today it is becoming the preferred approach to therapy.

How it works

The length of each session, including the initial consultation, will be fifty minutes. During the initial consultation, I will carry out a number of tasks. These will include explaining the basic principles of the therapy(s), gaining an insight into your situation, making an initial assessment, recommending a course of treatment and setting out clearly defined and agreed upon goals.

Specific therapeutic objectives are met as we work together as a team. I may set homework and self-help exercises for you to carry out in-between sessions. Examples include completing goals set in the therapy session, making a note of your thoughts and feelings and carrying out relaxation techniques. This encourages a rapid and continual improvement which become a part of everyday life.

What my Client's say about me

  • From the moment you walk into the room you feel the warmth of Sarah’s personality. She is very good at assessing how to help you and does it with gentle steps. She has been an enormous help and encouragement to me as we have worked together on my phobia and OCD. I recommend her very highly indeed.

  • Over the years, in our sessions there were many tears, laughter and so many aha moments, where I had gradually began to see the light again, my wounded heart could open a little more and my mind could turn that corner, to see things a little differently.

  • Sarah helped me to stop smoking with hypnotherapy. I still see her from time to time for anxiety.
I am still a none smoker!

  • I came to Sarah for CBT. I’d been signed off from work and had some serious stress issues. Sarah listened and helped me to make sense of the confusion I was feeling. She also taught me ways to help myself. I feel strong and in control now.

  • I was unimaginably fortunate to have met Sarah after I had lost my mother to cancer. I was in excrutiating emotional pain. Swaying daily between anxiety, depression guilt, deep despair and insomnia. I really couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, my world as I had known it had collapsed. On reflection I remember that I had almost crawled into Sarah’s room seeking some relief from my pain
